The Western Association of Schools and Colleges has reaffirmed the accreditation of Public Safety Academy, with outside reviewers concluding the academy “continues to provide exceptional quality education to the students of San Bernardino and beyond.”Accreditation by the nonprofit association means the academy has been judged by outside reviewers to be operating at a high level of quality consistent with its mission.

PSA and Character Counts!
The Public Safety Academy implemented CHARACTER COUNTS! and the Six Pillars of Character: trustworthiness, respect, responsibility, fairness, caring, and citizenship into our academy culture since 2000.
The six pillars of character have become part of the language among cadets and staff, and cadets are encouraged and recognized for showing good character. The CHARACTER COUNTS! framework is not only visible through displays, but more importantly, it is evident in how cadets and staff respectfully treat each other every day.
